Cynthia “Cindy” Goodman Deaton 71, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith that will continue to touch the lives of all who knew her. She was born and raised in the Landis and China Grove area, where she built lifelong friendships and cherished memories that shaped the woman she became.
Cindy was the beloved daughter of the late Verna and John Goodman, who instilled in her the values of kindness and compassion. She carried those lessons throughout her life and into her greatest joy - being a mother. Cindy leaves behind her two sons, Michael Deaton and Aaron Deaton. They were the light of her world. Her love extended warmly to Curtis Grow, Michael’s spouse, whom she embraced as her own. Cindy also leaves behind many dear cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Cindy’s love for God was very important to her. She lived her faith daily - offering encouragement, extending grace, and finding joy in even the simplest blessings. Her unwavering belief in God’s goodness brought comfort to others and strength to herself through every season of life.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Cindy will remember her radiant smile, her infectious laugh, and the warmth that made every gathering feel like home. Though her passing leaves an ache that words cannot fill, her spirit will continue to shine through the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the faith she carried so beautifully.
