Dallas Stevenson Dobson

Rev. Dallas Stevenson Dobson, 81, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020, at his home in Salisbury.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Wednesday, December 2, 2020, in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Kannapolis. Mr. Bill Van-Wieren, Rev. Johnny Boggs and Rev. Todd Comer will officiate. Interment is scheduled at Salisbury National Cemetery on December 10, 2020 at 1:00 pm.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 2:45 pm Wednesday prior to the service.

The family requests that all attendees wear a face covering.

Rev. Dobson was born November 16, 1939, in Richwood, WV. He was a son of the late James Clifton Dobson and Macel Wyatt Dobson. He was the pastor of Universal Baptist Church, Kannapolis. In addition to his ministry, he formerly worked in the coal mines of West Virginia and later as an electrical contractor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Stevenson Dobson in 2019.

Rev. Dobson is survived by his wife Phyllis Jene Cox Dobson; a son, Paul Eric Dobson and wife Angela of Salisbury; two daughters, Tammy Loraine Dobson of Concord and Ashley Marie Carr of Charlotte; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
