Danny Lewis Thompson Jr.

Mr. Danny Lewis Thompson, Jr., 42, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, in Mooresville.

A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Highest Praise Family Worship Center. Rev Wayne Miller will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 pm Sunday at Highest Praise Worship Center in China Grove.

Mr. Thompson was born May 1, 1975 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of Danny Lewis Thompson, Sr. and the late Vera Rae Previtte Thompson. He worked for Chester's Restaurant in Salisbury as a shift leader. He enjoyed skating and was an avid video gamer and Doctor Who fan.

Mr. Thompson, in addition to his father, is survived by son, Dylon Thompson; daughter, Brianna Russ, both of Kannapolis; two brothers, M. Thompson and S. Thompson; step-sister, Gabrielle Smith and husband Dennis of Mooresville; step-brother, Mark Gabbert of Concord; and step-mother, Karen Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highest Praise Family Worship Center, 1700 Bostian Road, China Grove, NC 28023.
