Darryl Ernest Harrington

Mr. Darryl Ernest Harrington, 70, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chuck Overcash will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:45 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Darryl was born February 27, 1952 in Concord. He was a son of the late Ned Ernest Harrington and Inez Taylor Hodgens Harrington. He retired from the Army National Guard after 20 years of service. In earlier years, he worked for Mike's Upholstery Shop and afterwards, he worked for and retired from Philip Morris after 17 years. He was a member of the Allen-Graham Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda Diane Harrington.

Darryl is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kyleen Gantt Harrington; son, Jason Harrington and wife Sheila of Salisbury; daughter, Tangie Williams and husband Terry of Granite Quarry; sister, Becky Middleton of Kannapolis; brother, Jim Hodgens and wife Brenda of Kannapolis; nine grandchildren, Landon, Logan, Dalton, Megan, Tori, Marina, Magen, Braden and Ian; and two great grandchildren, Zayden and Zacari.
