David Franklin Lyles

Mr. David Franklin Lyles, Sr., 59, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015, at his residence.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Brother John Tennent of God’s Church of Faith in Kannapolis will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Lyles was born September 20, 1955 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Herman George Franklin Lyles and Mary Lucille James Lyles. He worked as an auto mechanic with C&D Garage & Salvage and later retired from Southern Electric where he was an industrial engine rebuilder.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Franklin Lyles, Jr and a brother, Marvin Lyles.

Mr. Lyles is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Fischer Lyles; son, Alexander Franklin Lyles of the home; three sisters, Brenda Faires of Granite Quarry, Mary Tarlton and husband Ernie of Granite Quarry, Delores Gambrell and husband Robert of Salisbury; brother, George Lyles wife Pam of Charlotte; and his sister-in-law, Brenda Lyles of Rockwell.
