David William Moose Sr.

Mr. David William Moose, Sr., 88, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at his home in China Grove.

A family graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, January 8, 2021, at Salisbury National Cemetery.

Mr. Moose was born April 12, 1932 in Iredell County. He was a son of the late Oscar Julius Moose and Florence Adams Moose. David enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He also liked woodworking. He retired as a carpenter from Atlantic American Properties and the State of NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Mary Lou Moose; two sisters, Ethel Safrit and Wilma Smith; and brother, Eugene Moose.

Mr. Moose is survived by son, David William Moose, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Pfafftown; daughter, Linda Moose Winecoff and husband Jack of China Grove; four sisters, Olene Morton, Genoa Miller, Nellie Julian and Grace Seamon, all of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Nicholas Winecoff, Emily Hardee, Bethany Jones, Holly Darby, Andrew Moose ad Abby Moose; and five great grandchildren.
