Mr. David Matthew Piatt, 67, went to be with the Lord after a fight with cancer Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Steve Ayers will officiate.

The family will begin to receive friends from 3:00 pm Saturday at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Piatt was born February 28, 1948 in Marion County, OH. He was a son of the late Chester Donald Piatt and Evelyn Wilson Piatt. He worked as a floral designer. Mr. Piatt was loved by many, never met a stranger, and a party always followed him everywhere he went. One of his last life missions was caring for Harold and Audrey Mills.

Mr. Piatt is survived by his partner of 18 years, Keith Joyce of the home; and a number of nieces and nephews.
