David Louis Yoos, Sr.

Mr. David Louis Yoos, Sr., 75, of 1522 Daybreak Ridge Road, Kannapolis, died Sunday, February 13, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center after five years of declining health and four weeks of serious illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church. Rev. Richard Rhoades will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. Yoos was born March 7, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA. He was a son of the late Herman Robert Yoos, Sr. and Lyda Basinger Yoos. He was a local businessman for Car City of Concord as an accounts manager. He was a member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church where he was active in many capacities. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Robert Yoos, Jr., and a sister, Lyda Yoos Sellors. He was a devoted father and husband. Mr. Yoos is survived by his wife, Norma Penninger Yoos; two sons, David L. Yoos, Jr. of Kannapolis and Andy Yoos of Concord; one daughter, Louisa Yoos of Concord; one sister, Minerva Yoos Savage of Winston-Salem; and five grandchildren.
