Dennis Keith Strickland

Mr. Dennis Keith Strickland, 56, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Harris Hospice in Charlotte.

A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Kannapolis Church of God. Dr. Greg Sloop will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the church from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. prior to the service.

Mr. Strickland was born October 30, 1959 in Hampton, VA. He was the son of the late Robert P. Strickland and Lela Bullard Strickland. He formerly worked as an electrician with the Newport News Ship Building and Dry Dock Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Leigh Strickland.

Mr. Strickland is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Tyler and husband Branden of Newport News, VA; three brothers, James Strickland and wife Alice of Salisbury, Ronnie Strickland and wife Cindy of Orlando, FL, and Steve Strickland and wife Glenda of Panama City, FL; a sister, Doris S. Burk and husband John of Salisbury, NC; six grandchildren, Michael Strickland, Jarvis Tyler, Cheyanne Hager, Brady Tyler, Brandy Tyler and Travis Hager and his fiancée, Debbie Sheets.
