Dewey Lester Lail

Dewey Lester Lail, 79, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Tucker Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 8, 2014,at Concord First Assembly Worship Center. Pastor Rick Ross and Pastor Brad Hargett will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at Concord First Assembly Worship Center.

Mr. Lail was born on March 4, 1935 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late John Ernest Lail and Lucille Ellen Christy Lail. He worked as a construction painter. Mr. Lail was a member of Concord First Assembly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Rita Wilkerson.

Mr. Lail is survived by his wife, Ruth Schenck Lail; three step-children, Gloria Tadlock of Concord, Dale Rodgers and Michael E. Roper, both of China Grove; sister, Margaret Schultz of Landis; and 42 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
