Dianne Christy

Mrs. Dianne Pressley Christy, 70, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014, in her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Skyland Baptist Church in Kannapolis, NC. Rev. Dennis Morgan will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from12:30 to 1:30 pm Saturday prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Christy was born on June 5, 1943 in Concord. She was a daughter of the late Reece J. Pressley and Rachel Thomas Pressley. She retired from AT& T where she worked in Business Sales/Marketing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Ann Christy.

Mrs. Christy is survived by her husband, Donald Hugh Christy; two children, Donald Christy, Jr. and wife Lisa Ellis, of St. Louis, MO and Cheryl Christy-McCormick and husband Andy of Rock Hill, SC; two sisters, Sue Burgess and husband Boyce of Kannapolis and JoEllen Atwell of Concord; brother, Craig W. Pressley of Concord; and two grandchildren, Donald Weston Christy and wife Mary and Makayla Rachelle McCormick.
