Donald Wilson Baucom

Mr. Donald "Gusher" Wilson Baucom, 75, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2012 at CMC-NorthEast.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, January 17, 2013, at the Kannapolis Church of God. Rev. Sam Crisp and Mr. Bob Mauldin will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 pm Thursday ,at the church prior to the service.

Mr. Baucom was born on November 24, 1937 in Aquadale. He was the son of the late C. W. Baucom and Leora Mauldin Baucom. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard. Donald retired from trucking where he was a dispatcher for several companies including Johnson Motor Lines. He was a member of Kannapolis Church of God.

Mr. Baucom is survived by his wife, Gail Bentley Baucom; daughter, Amy Baucom Gillon of Jacksonfille, FL; two sons, Scott Baucom and wife Sharon of Matthews and Ben Baucom and wife Jennifer of Kannapolis; and four grandchildren, Tytler, Riley Gayle, Nathan and Braden Baucom.
