Donald Ross Bedford

Mr. Donald Ross Bedford, 72, of 191 Hahn Place SE, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, September 1, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Ralph Brigman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Bedford was born April 22, 1934 in Detroit, MI. He was a son of the late Paul Bedford, Sr. and Helen Rannebarger Bedford. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Bedford was the owner and operator of Don's Transmission in Concord until he retired. After retirement, he became a realtor at Lake Norman Properties in Mooresville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Bedford. Mr. Bedford is survived by his wife, Faye M. Bedford; five daughters, Dawn Wanner, Laura Hockin, Janice Smith, all of Indiana, Joann Flack of Tennessee and Judy Teal of Salisbury; son, Dan Matthews of Concord; brother, Paul Bedford, Jr. of California; fourteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
