Donald Steven Dennis

Mr. Donald "Duck" Steven Dennis, 58, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at his home.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Friday, November 16, 2012, at Lady's Funeral Home. There will be no services at this time.

Mr. Dennis was born on September 20, 1954 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late William Robert Dennis and Margaret Wilkerson Dennis. He was self-employed as a house painter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Ruby Shrewsberry and brother, Bill Dennis.

Mr. Dennis is survived by his wife, Lecia Bare Dennis; three daughters, Michelle Dennis and Melody Dennis, both of Kannapolis and Melissa Valladares of Concord; four sisters, Mary Ann Scercy of China Grove, Linda Morris of Landis and Betty Milam and Elsie Crowder, both of Kannapolis; three brothers, David Dennis of China Grove, Wade Dennis and Bobby Dennis both, of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Matthew and Steven Rayfield, Trever Whitlow, Alona, Alisa and Othniel Valladares.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Lady's Funeral Home, 268 North Cannon Blvd., Kannapolis, NC 28083 to assist with funeral expenses.
