Donald Ray Griffin

Donald Ray Griffin, 70, a resident of the Meadows in Rockwell and formerly of Marshville, died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at Faulk Baptist Church Cemetery in Marshville. The Rev. David E. Richardson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 until noon Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home, Kannapolis. Mr. Griffin was born April 20, 1937, in Union County. He was a son of the late John Bridger Griffin and Gladys Ovelia Mills Griffin. He retired several years ago from making and repairing clocks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Carl Griffin. He is survived by a sister, Margie G. Horton of China Grove; and two brothers, John Carson Griffin of Rockwell and Ervin Lee Griffin of Asheville.
