Donald E. Hinson

Donald E. "Don" Hinson, 78, of Cedar Springs Drive, Concord, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Forest Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Born August 14, 1930 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Isaac Virgil Hinson and Maude Eury Hinson. He retired from Ralston Purina in Charlotte. Don was a member of Concord First Assembly, Stokes Masonic Lodge No. 32, and the Woodmen of the World Society. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold Hinson, Shirley Hinson, and Fred Hinson. Survivors include his wife, Doris Teeter Hinson; daughter, Donna Patrice "Patti" Hinson of Alpharetta, Ga.; one sister, Kathleen Austin of Concord; and a brother, Roy Hinson of Concord.
