Donna Lynn Holloway

Mrs. Donna Lynn Allen Holloway, 53, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Tucker Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Grigg and Rev. Mike Roper will officiate. Interment will be at 11:00 am Friday at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 pm Thursday at the church prior to the service.

Donna was born on March 18, 1961 in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of Kirby Colson Allen, Sr. and Patricia Anne Lambert Allen of Rockwell. Donna graduated from Mount Pleasant High School, class of 1979. She worked as a customer service representative for Wells Fargo Bank. She was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Donna was an avid bowler and was a member of the Ladies League at Fox Fire Lanes. She enjoyed spending time at the beach.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Richard Darren Holloway; son, Darren A. Holloway of Landis; two brothers, Kirby Allen, Jr. and wife Judy, of Concord and Jayson A. Allen, of Rockwell; mother-in-law, Wynema “Sissy” Lazenby and husband Willard of Kannapolis; sister-in-law, Tamara Austin and husband Ronald of Granite Quarry; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Franklin Heights Baptist Church, 2000 Lane Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.

The family would like to extend their sincere thank you to the staff of Tucker Hospice House, Dr. Thomas Steffens, the entire oncology staff and to a special family friend, Vickie Shue.
