Dora Elizabeth Seaford

Mrs. Dora Elizabeth Cross Seaford, 72, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016, at her residence.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Hall will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Seaford was born September 5, 1943 in Darlington, SC. She was a daughter of the late Carl Cross and Lizzie Hall Cross. She retired from Linn-Corriher Mills in Landis where she worked in the spinning room.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bucky “Buck” Eliot Seaford; two sisters, Hazel Edwards and Dorothy Gainey; and two brothers, Carl Cross, Jr. and Aaron Cross.

Mrs. Seaford is survived by two daughters, Sharon Burris and Robbie Seaford, both of Concord; son, Terry Seaford and wife Darlene of Kannapolis; a sister, Judy C. Sifford of Salisbury; a brother, David Cross of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Beth, Nikki, Zachary, Courtney and Chad; and seven great grandchildren, Parker, Maddie, Bella, Hailey, Caleb, D.J. and Autumn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to North Kannapolis Baptist Church, Baptist Aging Ministry Fund, 312 Locust Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
