Doris Middleton Basham

Mrs. Doris Middleton Basham, 77, of Kannapolis, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, February 4, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Thant McManus will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from noon - 2:00 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home prior to the service Mrs. Basham was born November 28, 1933 in Kannapolis. She was the daughter of the late Clayton C. Middleton and Lena Smith Middleton. She was a retired employee of Cabarrus Memorial Hospital (CMC-NorthEast). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Edward Basham, Jr.. Mrs. Basham is survived by her husband, James Edward Basham, Sr.; two sons, Mark Basham and wife, Frankie of China Grove and Rick Basham and wife, Tammy of Kannapolis; brother, Jack Middleton of Kannapolis; three grandchildren Misty Roscoe, Clayton Basham and Stephanie Basham; four great grandchildren Ryan Roscoe, Jared Roscoe , Gabriel Basham and Destiny Fleming.
