Doris Huneycutt Hartis

Mrs. Doris Huneycutt Hartis, 77, a resident of Liberty Commons in Salisbury and formerly of Klondale Avenue, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Sunday, January 2, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Coy Privette will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:00 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Hartis was born March 19, 1933 in Kannapolis, NC. She was a daughter of the late James Crowell Huneycutt, Sr. and Flora Lanning Huneycutt. She retired from the NC Disability Determination Services in Concord. She was a member of North Kannapolis Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Blenda H. Gault and her brother, Rev. James C. Huneycutt, Jr. Mrs. Hartis is survived by her son, Thomas "Tom" Hartis and his wife, Stacy of Raleigh; and two grandchildren, Jack and Sydney Hartis.
