Dorothy Patterson Brandon

Mrs. Dorothy (Dot) Cornelia Patterson Brandon, 87, of 501 Tuttlewood Drive, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, November 5, 20008, at Morningside of Concord. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2008, at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church. The Rev. Richard Rhoades will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the residence. Born October 9, 1921 in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Brandon was the daughter of the late Louis A. Patterson and Effie Michael Patterson. She was a homemaker, and a member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Brandon, Jr.; a son, George B. Brandon III; one sister, Ann P. Biggers; and three brothers, Louis A. Patterson, Jr., John W. Patterson and Frank E. Patterson. Survivors include two sons, Richard (Dick) Brandon of China Grove and Thomas (Tom) Brandon and wife, Gigi, of Leesburg, VA; a sister, Mary P. Shropshire of Concord; three grandchildren, Erin Gaines, Matthew Brandon and David Brandon; and a great-grandchild, Taylor Brandon.
