Dorothy Mozell Brown (Rumple)

Dorothy Mozell Rumple Brown, 91, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Bethpage Presbyterian Church. Rev. Ellen Campbell Gardner will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Saturday prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.

Mrs. Brown was born on September 17, 1923 in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of the late Register Sylvester Rumple and Augusta Seaford Rumple. She graduated from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Brown retired as a Registered Nurse from Cabarrus Memorial Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Benjamin Brown.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her two daughters, Sylvia “Jean” Brown of Kannapolis and Rebecca Jo Brown of Raleigh.
