Dorothy Dalton Sides

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Dalton Dixon Sides, 91, formerly of Kannapolis passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 am Monday, June 15, 2015, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Rick Wilson will officiate.

Mrs. Sides was born February 8, 1924 in Gaston County. She was the daughter of the late Dalton Dennis Dixon and Kathryn Beatrice Kiser Arrowood Dixon. She worked as an accountant at the former K-Mart in Kannapolis. She was a member of Calvary Foursquare Church in Kannapolis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Marvin Edward Sides and four brothers, Dennis Miller, James Calvin Dixon, Forrest William Dixon and Horace Worth Dixon.

Mrs. Sides is survived by her nephew, Jerry Dixon and wife Tammy of Locust; and niece, Sharon Dixon Davis and husband Ron of Kannapolis.
