Dorothy Sweatt

Mrs. Dorothy Cook Sweatt, 81, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends Thursday through Saturday, January 10 through January 12, at Mrs. Sweatt's home, 1021 Ebenezer Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.

Mrs. Sweatt was born on September 28, 1931 in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of the late Virgil A. Cook and Arie J. Smith Cook. She worked as an accountant for First Union National Bank.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Sweatt, in 2004.

Mrs. Sweatt is survived by her two daughters, Jean Sherrill and husband Ron and Carole Lewis, both of Kannapolis; and her faithful Boston Terrier, Liliane.
