E. Ray Hinson

Mr. E. Ray Hinson, 82, of 2604 Lyla Avenue, Concord, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at Transitional Health Services. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Born July 21, 1920, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late Goodin Edward Hinson and the late Amanda Parrish Hinson. He was retired from Cannon Mills with 45 years of service. Mr. Hinson was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Cora M. Hinson; a son, Hugh Hinson of Concord; two step-sons, Virgil Lane McIntyre of Concord and Rev. Luther B. McIntyre of De Kalb, IL; a brother, Marvin Hinson of Concord; and three grandchildren.
