Mrs. Edna Ferguson Bebber, 90, a resident of Morningside Assisted Living Center, Concord, and formerly of Westview Street, Kannapolis, died Thursday, May 15, 2003, after three years of declining health and a serious illness of two weeks. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2003, at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The Rev. Stan Welch will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of a daughter, Gail Reavis, 5515 Enochville School Road, Kannapolis. Born May 11, 1913, in Alexander County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Ferguson and the late Iva Mae Bumgarner Ferguson. Mrs. Bebber retired several years ago from the washcloth department of Cannon Mills. She was a member of Blackwelder Park Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zeb Watt Bebber, who died in 1974; and a daughter, Phyllis Bebber Gardner. Survivors include two daughters, Gail Bebber Reavis and her husband, Billy, of Kannapolis, and Hilda Bebber Beaver and her husband, Gene, of Landis; nine grandchildren, Barry Kelly, David Kelly, Sonya Moore, Daniel Beaver, Debbie Beaver Stanley, Kim Reavis Carter, Sharon Reavis Cooke, Mark Reavis and Carrie Reavis; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
