Mrs. Edna Little Carraway, 93, a resident of Oakboro Baptist Church Home for the Aged and formerly of Debbie Street in Kannapolis, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Dale Tanner will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. At other times they will be at their respective homes. Born April 27, 1912, in Union County, she was a daughter of the late Columbus "Lum" Little and Minnie Alice Edwards Little. She had lived in Kannapolis most of her adult life and retired from the weave room of Cannon Mills, Plant One. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and served as a volunteer at NorthEast Medical Center. She was recognized by the medical center for her many hours of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Blair Carraway, who died December 19, 1972; and four sisters and two brothers. Survivors include four sisters, Janie Motley of Midland, Marie Huneycutt of Stanfield, Clara Nash of Charlotte and Betty Watts of Waxhaw; and two brothers, Sam Little of Kannapolis and Pete Little of Monroe.
