Mrs. Edna Lee Turner, 86 of Concord, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:30 pm Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Barrett will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 12:15 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Turner was born July 25, 1932 in Chesterfield, SC. She was a daughter of the late Lee Harrison Gulledge and Ethel Martha Rushing Gulledge. She was a 1950 graduate of J.W. Cannon High School. She has been a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church since 1970 and had served in the past as church clerk, WMU Director, choir member, Sunday school teacher and youth leader. She formerly worked at K-Town Furniture in Concord for 19 Years as Credit Clerk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Enouch "Pete" Turner on November 21, 2013; and her son, Michael "Mike" Steven Turner on June 19, 2014.
Mrs. Turner is survived by her daughter, Pamela Turner Lindley and husband John of Kannapolis; daughter-in-law, Janice Turner of Kannapolis; two sisters, Dorothy Earnhardt of Kannapolis and Elma Kelly of Tampa, FL; sister-in-law, Mildred Turner Lamb of Kannapolis; brother-in-law, Jim Benton of Concord; three grandsons, John "Todd" Lindley wife Kate, Tony Keith Lindley and Joshua " Josh" Adam Turner and wife Lindsey; two granddaughters, Crystal Lindley McKenzie and husband Matthew and Kayla Kathleen Turner Smith and husband Jacob; four great granddaughters, Leila Ann Turner, Leah Aubrey Smith, Laney Mae Turner and Laura Elyse Lindley; and three great grandsons, Liam Brian McKenzie, John "Sefton" Lindley and Jackson Curtis McKenzie.
