Eileen Engels Blount

Mrs. Eileen Engels Blount, 48, of 9323 Rock Creek Court, Concord, NC, died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at University Hospital in Charlotte. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mark Nash will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will recieve friends from 6 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Mrs. Blount was born May 9, 1954 in Saginaw, MI. She was a daughter of the late Herb Engels and Alice Mooney Engels. She was a homemaker and attended St. Thomas Catholic Church. Mrs. Blount is survived by her husband, Hugh Howell Blount, III; three sons, Peter Engels, Nicky Blount, and Andrew Blount, all of the home; two brothers, James Engels and his wife, Deedee, of Concord, and Paul Engels and his wife, Shelia, of Charlotte; four nieces, Tammy Shue and Robin Engels Peeler, both of Concord, September Esaw and Donnie Esaw, both of Mannington, WV; one nephew, Jimmy Engels, Jr. of Kannapolis; two brothers-in-law, William Blount and Michael Blount, both of Concord; two sisters-in-law, Katherine Smith and her husband, Larry, of Concord, Teresa Esaw and her husband, Brian, of Mannington, WV. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 928, Concord, NC 28026-0928 in memory of Mrs. Blount.
