Elizabeth Lisenby

Mrs. Elizabeth Howell Lisenby, 91, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016, at St. Andrews Living Center in Concord.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Dr. Darryl Evans, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Mrs. Lisenby was born October 11, 1924 in Norwood, NC. She was the daughter of the late John Jones Howell and Martha Catherine Lanier Howell. She retired from Cannon Mills. Mrs. Lisenby was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Kannapolis, where she earned an honorarium life membership for the Presbyterian Women of the Church in 1994. She was also a member and office holder of the Daughters of the American Revolution and United Daughters of the Confederacy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Lisenby.

Mrs. Lisenby is survived by daughter, Kathryn Perry and husband William of Rock Hill, SC; son, Ronald Lisenby and wife Connie of Kannapolis; three grandchildren, Susan Perry of New York, NY, Amanda Perry Woodard of Columbia, SC, and Raegan Lisenby Swaringer of Concord; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail Grace Malinovsky of Concord, and Lily-Kate Elizabeth Woodard of Columbia, SC.
