Elizabeth Haigler Trull

Mrs. Elizabeth Haigler Trull, 88, formerly of Pennsylvania Avenue, died Thursday, October 16, 2008, at Five Oaks Manor in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, October 20, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. R. J. Hammond and Rev. Ron Bushey will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 12:45 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of her daughter-in-law, Myra Trull, 228 Tanglewood Drive, Kannapolis. Mrs. Trull was born December 21, 1919 in Cabarrus County, NC. She was a daughter of the late Rev. Roy J. Haigler and Eunice Helms Haigler. She was employed for a number of years with Cannon Mills in the sheet department of Plant #1 and later shared her many talents by catering wedding receptions, as well as other functions. She was also a gifted floral designer. Her greatest joy was giving to others. Mrs. Trull was a charter member of Charity Baptist Church in Kannapolis. In prior years, she sang in the choir, enjoyed her Sunday School class, and served in other capacities. She loved her church and continued to support it in prayer when she was no longer able to attend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Trull; son, Jerry Carl Trull; infant daughter, Libby Danita Trull; sisters, Ruth Hancock and Doris Milewski; brothers, Rev. Kenneth E. Haigler and D.E. Haigler. Mrs. Trull is survived by a grandson, Chris Trull and wife, Rhonda of Concord; two great granddaughters, Lacey and Carley Trull; daughter-in-law, Myra Trull of Kannapolis. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews including Phyllis Slaght of Atlanta, GA, Gloria Price of Woodbridge, VA, Ken Haigler of Wilmington, NC, Mark Haigler of Greenville, SC and Gary Hancock of Kannapolis.
