Eloise Johnson Allman

February 8, 1923 — January 31, 2018

Mrs. Eloise "El" Johnson Allman, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at her home in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, February 5, 2018, at North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church. Dr. Ron Haithcock and Rev. Trent Patterson will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 12:45 pm Monday at North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church.

Mrs. Allman was born February 8, 1923 in Catawba County. She was a daughter of the late Jonas Franklin Johnson and Nancy Elizabeth Mayberry Johnson. She was a member of North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church, where she was active in all phases. She loved reading her Bible, enjoyed listening to BBN Radio, sewing and working with flowers. She loved her parakeets, Romeo and Juliet. Eloise was a loving and caring mother, and the solid rock of her family and extended family. Words cannot express what a wonderful mother she was.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Bangle Allman; five sisters, Flora Sigmon, Jettie Liske, Lois Faulkner, Cowila Johnson and Eula Mae Johnson; and three brothers, Howard Johnson, Oscar Johnson and Frank Johnson.

Mrs. Allman is survived by two daughters, Sheila Sheets and husband Donald and Amelia Allman, both of Kannapolis; son, Randy G. Allman of Concord; brother, Staley Johnson, Sr. of Kannapolis; five grandchildren, Ben Allman, Elizabeth Castillo, Kristin Furr, Brian Barnes and Joy Furr; and five great grandchildren, Emily Barnes, Jacob Allman, Aliyah Castillo, Lilly Loan and Lydia Allman.

Memorials may be sent to North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church, 314 West 12th Street, Kannapolis, NC, 28081.
