Elsie Mozelle Overcash

Mrs. Mozelle Hodge Overcash, 81, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at Tucker Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Landis Rev. Jarod Lanning will officiate. Internment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 am at the Trinity Lutheran Church prior to the service.

Mrs. Overcash was born on October 28, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Jacob Owens Hodge and Fannie Ruth Blackwelder Hodge. She retired from the China Grove Cotton Mill and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Landis.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Overcash was a widow and preceded in death by a brother, Howard O. Hodge and two sisters, Ruth Pauline Linn and Janie H. Wilhelm.

Mrs. Overcash is survived by a sister, Frances Carter of Concord and had been blessed with 8 nephews, Wade Carter, Jr., Randell Carter, Barry McLendon, Ronnie Wolfe, II, Howard Hodge Jr., Larry Brown, Daniel Cobb and Brent Cobb and four nieces, Debbie Carter, Paula McLendon, Alisa McLendon, and Cindy Linn Cobb.
