Emma Jean Holloway

Ms. Emma Jean Hurst Holloway, 76, formerly of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012.

A funeral service will be held at 7:15 pm, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Parrish will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, prior to the service.

Ms. Holloway was born on October 28, 1935 in Ruby, SC. She was the daughter of the late Charlton W. Holloway and Clara Belle Sellers Holloway. She retired after 42 years service at Fieldcrest Cannon. Prior to her illness, Ms. Holloway was the pianist for Elwood Lane Free Will Baptist Church in Kannapolis and had served as pianist for several churches in the area.

Ms. Holloway is survived by son, Darius E. Holloway of Charlotte; sister, Loretta Green and husband Leroy of Kannapolis and brother, Bobby Hurst and wife Peggy of Kannapolis.
