Emmett Lawson Torrence

Emmett Lawson Torrence, 78, of Lanexa, VA, and formerly of Indian Trail, died Thursday, December 25, 2008 in Williamsburg, Virginia. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2008, at Coddle Creek ARP Church Cemetery. The Rev. James Greer will officiate. Born April 10, 1930 in Richmond, Virginia, he was the son of the late Jessie C. Torrence and Eleanor Elizabeth Kline Torrence. He was a retired machinist. Mr. Torrence was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Johnson. Mr. Torrence is survived by a sister, Sarah Haynes of Lanexa, Virgina.
