Eric Dwayne Shumake

Mr. Eric Shumake, 43, of Kannapolis, died Thursday, February 17, 2005, at Carolinas Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dwayne Mann will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Mrs. Charlene Winecoff, 410 East 25th Street, Kannapolis. Mr. Shumake was born December 16, 1961 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of Margaret Haskins Shumake of Kannapolis and the late Bobby Carroll Shumake. He formerly was employed by Fieldcrest Cannon in Kannapolis. Mr. Shumake, in addition to his father, was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Carroll Shumake. Mr. Shumake, in addition to his mother, is survived by a daughter, Christine Shumake of Kannapolis; two sons, Michael Shumake and Jeffery Shumake, both of Kannapolis; and a brother, Shane L. Shumake of Cleveland, NC.
