Ethel Maie Brotherton Peacock

Mrs. Ethel Maie Brotherton Peacock, 84, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017, at First Assembly Living Center in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chuck Overcash will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Peacock was born May 28, 1933 in Rowan County. She was the daughter of Coss Brotherton and Johnsie Brotherton. She retired from the Washcloth Department of Cannon Mills Plant One, where she was an inspector. She was a member of Prince of Peace Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Peacock.

Ethel is survived by her daughter, Barbara Benfield and husband Steve of Kannapolis; grandson, Craig Benfield and wife Candeis of China Grove; and two great grandchildren, Autumn and Mason Benfield.
