Ethel Edwards Nall

Mrs. Ethel Godwin Edwards Nall, 93, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Transitional Health Services.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Herman Absher will officiate. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:00 pm Saturday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nall was born on September 23, 1920 in Marshville. She was a daughter of the late Atlas M. Godwin and Pearl Edwards Godwin. She worked in the weave room at Cannon Mills. Mrs. Nall was a member of Jackson Park Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William F. Edwards; second husband, J. C. Nall; and sister, Nell Carpenter.

Mrs. Nall is survived by her step-son, Darwin Nall of Charlotte; three sisters, Ruby Newsom and Inez Tarlton both of Kannapolis and Martha Jean Stegall of Gastonia; and brother, Van Godwin of Wingate.
