I was sad to learn of E. F.'s recent death. I have such fond memories of him from the earliest years of my life. It hasn't been too long ago that I saw him "presiding" at the gathering of his friends at the hardware store during one of my weekend visits home. He brought much joy to others and was loved by them in return. I know your hearts are heavy and I pray for God's grace, peace, and comfort for you at this difficult time.

Please accept my heart felt sympathy in the loss of your father, Lynn. I know this has been a very difficult time for you; I understand the mixture of feelings that have bee roiling through you. You gave the kindest sort of gift with your time, effort, care and patience and tolerance. I admire and respect you for that and hope that your family is able to recognize the gift they also benefited from.
Now you are an orphan just like me. We, now, are the older generation...it's a role and I'll bet we can fill it.
