Eugene Talmadge Jordan

Eugene Talmadge Jordan, 72, of 204 N. Franklin St., China Grove, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2007, at China Grove Church of God. The Rev. Roger Lunsford, the Rev. Steve Sprinkle and the Rev. Joyce Miles will officiate. The body will lie in-state at the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. At other times, the family will be at the home of Mr. Jordan. Mr. Jordan was born Aug. 20, 1934, in Georgia. He was a son of the late Brooks Jordan and Eva Hanley Jordan. He was a devoted member of China Grove Church of God and he enjoyed golf. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Jordan; one sister; and two brothers. Mr. Jordan is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Jordan of Cleveland, Tiffiney Muncy and Amanda Tyler, both of China Grove; son, Joey Jordan of Kannapolis; two sisters, Bertha Morgan and Evelyn Yon, both of China Grove; eight grandchildren; and one joining us soon.
