Evelyn M. Gulledge

Evelyn Minnie Gulledge, 73, of 2725 Highway 153, China Grove, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. Born March 27, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John Hunt and Blanche Bennett Hunt. Mrs. Gulledge was a homemaker, and formerly worked at Cannon Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Sue Smith; and a grandson, Billy Houser. Survivors include her husband, Dale Gulledge of the home; two daughters, Jane Sech of China Grove, and Holly Kerley of Kannapolis; a son, James Gulledge of the home; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
