Evelyn McDaniel Isenhour, 82, of Oakwood Avenue, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, at First Reformed Church, 210 N. Central Avenue, Landis. The Rev. David Franks and the Rev. Richard Myers will officiate. Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Concord. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall of First Reformed Church. At other times, they will be at the home of her son, F. E. Isenhour, Jr., 304 N. Central Avenue, Landis. Born March 17, 1927 in Davie County, she was the daughter of the late Martin Black McDaniel and Lois Robena Fletcher McDaniel. A graduate of Cannon High School and Evans Business School, she was a bookkeeper for many years for Kannapolis Real Estate and the Kannapolis Sanitary District. Mrs. Isenhour was a member of the Kannapolis Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of First Reformed Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, F. E. Isenhour, Sr., who died October 14, 1999. Survivors include two daughters, Carlene Isenhour Bean and husband Bobby of Kannapolis, Nancy Isenhour Stewart of Greensboro; a son, F. E. Isenhour, Jr. and wife Debby of Landis; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Stewart Zill and husband Jeff, Nicole Cecil Wyatt and husband Jason, Tripp Isenhour and wife Alysia, Chuck Stewart, Carey Isenhour Castor, Sarah Isenhour Cross and husband Tony; and six great-grandchildren, Gabriel Isenhour, Aden Castor, Rebekah Isenhour, Daniel Isenhour, Tyson Zill and Cadence Castor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Reformed Church, Building Fund, 210 N. Central Avenue, Landis, NC 28088.
