Evelyn Marie Strickland

Mrs. Evelyn Marie Strickland, 74, of Mulberry, Florida, died Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at Estelle Hospice Home in Ocala, Florida. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Steve Sprinkle will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home. Born March 20, 1932, in Greensboro, she was the daughter of the late Zeb Vance Webster and Bessie Rogers Webster. She formerly worked with school systems as a cafeteria employee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank James Strickland, Sr., and a son, Mark Allen Strickland. Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Harris of Ocala, Fl and Joyce F. Stophel of Palm Harbor, FL; a son, Frank Strickland of Ocala, FL; one sister, Bessie Agusta McNally of Baltimore, MD; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
