Everette Arnold Carpenter

Mr. Everette Arnold Carpenter, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in Charlotte.

A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 6:00 pm Sunday, September 22, 2013, at the Double Door Inn, 1218 Charlottetowne Avenue, Charlotte, NC.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Carpenter was born on July 2, 1937 in Union County. He was a son of the late William Theodore Carpenter and Emma Myrtle Hill Carpenter. He attended Winecoff High School in Concord and graduated from Landis High School. He attended Paier College of Art in New Haven, CT and Ringling Brothers Art College in Sarasota, FL. Everette was a free lance artist and the owner of Art Graphics in Charlotte. He was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. Everette was a North Carolina Historian, Civil War enthusiast and a world traveler. He was an avid reader. Everette played clarinet and banjo and attended many bluegrass festivals.

He is survived by two sisters, Jewel Carpenter of Ashburn, VA and Myrtice Kosma of Kannapolis; brother, William Steven Carpenter of Kannapolis; and four nieces, Elizabeth Foster of Reston, VA, Lisa Ledbetter of Annandale, VA, Ashlyn Elder of Ardmore, PA and Alexia Thomason of San Antonio, TX.
