Faye Holton Benham, a Godly mother, wife and friend went to be with Jesus on October 11th, 2017, at the age of 66.
Faye was born in Georgia on November 22nd 1950 to John and Ada Mae Holton. She graduated from nursing school and served at a nursing home in Texas. On May 11th, 1972, she married Phillip Lance Benham while he was serving in the Army in Germany. They were married for 45 years.
Faye and Philip (Flip) Benham welcomed into their lives five children. Tracy Tyler, David Demarest, Jason Bailey, Abigail Louanna, and Jonathan Eddy.
Faye and Flip received their first church assignment in Texas and moved the family to Garland, Texas. Faye worked at the Castle Manor Nursing Home of Garland, Texas while Flip was a Pastor of Garland Free Methodist Church, which started in their own home.
Faye and Flip poured their lives into their five children and invested their time by raising them to love Jesus and be servants to all. Faye was a servant to others, opening her home and feeding anyone who needed food or a place to stay. She was the backbone of her husband's ministry.
Faye Holton Benham is survived by her husband, Reverend Philip (Flip) Benham; her daughter's Tracy Tyler and Abigail Louanna; her sons David Demarest, Jason Bailey and Jonathan Eddy; her sons-in-law Josh Cummings and Craig Kean; daughters-in-law Tori Benham and Lori Benham; her grandchildren Bailey, Ty, Trae, Camron, Jake, Ella, Allie, Ava, Lundi, Chase, Corban, Carson, Audrey, Connor and Jane. Her brothers Ray Holton and Arthur Holton. Her mother-in-law Kitty Benham, sisters-in-law Chrissy Evans, Nelda Holton, Lou Holton; her nephews Jeff Holton, Johnny Holton, nieces Stephanie Gamble, Shanna Holton, Dez Holton, Kara Holton, Linda Harless and Donna Tant.
Her mother and father John and Ada Holton, her sister Janelle and brother Darrell were all waiting for her in Heaven when she arrived.
A funeral service is scheduled for October 14th, at 11:00 a.m., at the City Revival Church in Kannapolis NC.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Saturday prior to the service.
A family graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
