Faye Elaine Smith

Mrs. Faye Elaine Helms Smith, 66, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Carolinas Healthcare System - NorthEast in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11 am Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim McQueen will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith was born August 27, 1948 in Iredell County. She was the daughter of Margaret Church Helms and the late Robert Jackson Helms Jr.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Lori Tate, of Kannapolis; a grandson, Christian Kane Griffin; a brother, Steven Wayne Helms and wife, Sandy Goodman Helms, of Kannapolis; and 2 nephews, Robert (Bobby) Jackson Helms III and Steven Duane Helms.
