Faye Carol Garver Tucker

Mrs. Faye Carol Garver Tucker, 76, of Rimer Road, Concord, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joseph A. Miller and Rev. Kay Overcash will officiate. Interment will follow at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery in Concord. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home. Mrs. Tucker was born November 20, 1934 in Cabarrus County, NC. She was a daughter of the late Mitch Garver and Pallie Emma Gallimore Garver. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Tucker was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church and graduated from A.L. Brown High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Bill and Bobby Garver. Mrs. Tucker is survived by her husband, Russell Tucker; two daughters, Sue Carol Myers of Harrisburg and Amy Tucker Tackett of Concord; one son, Tommy Wayne Yost of Concord; sister, Beatrice Owens of Salisbury; brother, David Lee Garver of Kannapolis and four grandchildren, Sam Myers, Allison Myers, Jamie Tackett and Bradley Tackett The family requests that memorials be sent to Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 4500 Rimer Road, Concord, NC 28025 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
