Faye Campbell Smith

Faye Campbell Smith, 72 of Irish Potato Road, died Sunday, July 19, 2009. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be conducted in North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Steve Beam will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends at Lady's Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service Tuesday. Born in Chesterfield County, SC, on December 21, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Pete Campbell and Carrie Lang Campbell. She had worked in child care with the YMCA and was a member of the North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Crump and husband Jeff, of Charlotte, Sherry Maxwell and husband Rick of Lexington and a son Timothy Smith and wife Sherrie of Atlanta GA, two brothers, Johnny Campbell of Kannapolis and William Mitchell Campbell of Myrtle Beach, SC, two sisters, Katie Evans of Salisbury and Alda Mumford of Wilmington, NC, five grandchildren, Mallory Arrowood, Heath Smith, Samantha Lear, Natalie Melton and Whitney Smith. Memorials for Mrs. Smith may be made to North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church, 314 West 12th Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
