Faye Fowler Stewart

Mrs. Faye Fowler Stewart, 86, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

A funeral service is scheduled for 12:15 pm Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Haltom will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 12:15 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stewart was born April 28, 1931 in Rowan County. She was the daughter of the late Joel Vester Fowler, Sr. and Matilda Hilton Fowler. She was a member of Truth Temple and served the ministry through working at Truth Temple Christian School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Stewart, Jr.; and two brothers, Frank Fowler and Joel Fowler, Jr.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her daughter, Carmen Strickland; two grandchildren, Kristen Mann and husband Alex and Brandon Strickland and wife Candace; two brothers, Wayne Fowler and wife Joyce and Larry Fowler and wife Lois; sister-in-law, Gloria Fowler; and two great grandchildren, Ava and Ayden.
