Faynell Greene

Mrs. Faynell "Daze" Childers Greene, 86, of Terrell, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville. Mrs. Greene was born on October 12, 1923 in Kannapolis, a daughter of the late Edgar J. Childers and Judy Mae Reece Childers. She was employed as a cake decorator with Bitsy Bakery until it closed and later worked for Cannon Mills in Plant No 1. Mrs. Greene was the last child of Mr. & Mrs. Childers. She was preceded in death by a daughter Janice Lynne Harmon. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, James Franklin Greene; one daughter, Frances Power Willingham of Kannapolis; a son, J. Frank Greene, Jr. of Brea, CA; six grandchildren, Jana Fortner Nance and husband, Carlos "Hootie", Jeff Power and wife, Charlie, Davey Power and wife, Teena, Jennifer Harmon and friend, Jon Brant, Michael Greene and Hayden Greene; and seven great-grandchildren.
